THE VIRTUOUS CYCLE OF PLURAL MARRIAGE

Polygamy is the Opposite of Oppression
Monogamy (or polyandry) naturally results in oppression. But polygamy is the direct opposite of this!
Monogamy > oppression > prostitution > polyandry
Polygamy > protection > opposed to prostitution
THE PROTECTION OF WOMEN IN POLYGAMY
When one woman is placed among several men, she is oppressed. On the other hand, when several women are placed together with one man, she is safeguarded. Because the women protect each other. Polygamy therefore is protection of women.
CAVEAT: The Muslim model of polygamy however, does not achieve this. This is where the women live in separate houses, and have little or nothing to do with each other.
The Opposite Situation: POLYANDRY
If there is an agreement that a woman will have TWO HUSBANDS, she is bound to be oppressed. Even if it begins as a caring home, it will degenerate into her oppression and ultimately her prostitution.
If on the other hand, there is agreement that two women will have one husband, she is protected.
Look at the monogamy model – when one woman is placed alone with one man, he is stronger than her and she will be oppressed, manipulated, exploited. Can you see this in the number of single mothers there are in the West today? How much more so will she be used and exploited if two men had her? The men would just use her for sex. This is exactly what happens in prostitution.
In contrast, when several women live together with one man, the women are protected by each other. A woman can enjoy a family in dignity, and she is no longer vulnerable.
POLYGAMY, NOT POLYANDRY
The most foul misconception of polygamy is that it is oppression of women. Indeed, when a woman is shared between men THEN it is oppression. This is prostitution. Regular customers of a prostitute become her husbands. They support her. It is polyandry.
In Nepal, where polyandry is practiced, the most heinous crimes are committed in selling young girls as prostitutes into Bombay India. This happens because women or girls are valued LESS in a polyandrous culture.
Polygamy is the direct opposite of prostitution, while putting a stop to polygamy leads to prostitution. Polyandry and Prostitution go hand-in-hand. Polyandry or prostitution is men who don’t want to care for women.
Polygamy makes girls and women more VALUABLE.
If you want to see oppression of women, don’t look at polygamous families where there is only one man. Look rather at the brothels of Bombay, where 9-year-old girls are sex slaves in polyandry (women with more than one husband are oppressed as prostitutes, it is the natural result). In some cases, girls as young as 4 years old are sold into the sex slavery market.
In reality, these sex slaves are not in polygamy, but POLYANDRY – THIS is what oppresses women, not polygamy.

Women Destroyed by Prostitution
Nepal, where girls are treated as less valuable than boys – the girls are trafficked to Bombay and sold into prostitution for $100 to $200. There they work as sex slaves (without pay) for as little as 50 cents a client. One man sold his own wife into prostitution for just 12 dollars. Some as young as NINE YEARS OLD land the highest price for their fair skin and virginity.
The girls trafficked hide in places where they can hardly breathe. A man should not have any lustful feelings for prostitutes after watching this:

What is Virginity Worth?
“In the brothel, they have just a body, not life anymore. When they sold their virginity, the first rape, they’re finished. Just the body exists, but the life, they kill the life already. They don’t have life…”
WHO IS MY WIFE? Your wife is the woman who gave you her virginity.

Why Is Polygamy Banned?
There is no reason that can be given at all. If adults want to live that way, then how can it be illegal?
No common sense reason or principle can make polygamy criminal. No one is getting hurt. Is the prison sentence going to be 5 years for something like that?
Truly it is an important point. If you commit murder, then you are given a criminal sentence. If you steal, you are given a criminal sentence. Why? Because no matter where you go, stealing and murder go down as CRIME.
But polygamy? Go to South Africa, or Kenya, or Nigeria or many other countries, and not only is polygamy legal, but the heads of state practice polygamy in some cases (look at Bhutan, South Africa, Swaziland).
So how is it right for America, or any European state to outlaw something that is not consistently seen as criminal, universally? They cannot. And yet they do. Isn’t America supposed to be home of the brave and the free?
Polygamy has been practiced for CENTURIES. No one said anything about it then, so why is it wrong now, all of a sudden? Surely polygamy is not the same as SLAVERY! All the polygamous men and women I know of are in the relationship by their own consent.
The Americans IMPOSED monogamy in 1862 and the Western nations continue to impose it now.
“In America, The 1862 Morrill Act was the first major Federal Law establishing Christian Dominance over all other Religious beliefs in this country (America). At the time of this act, the American Indians, and Mormon religion both practiced bigamy. This Federal Law, allowed the Federal Government not only to endorse the Christian Doctrine of marriage (One Man, One Women) as being superior to all other Religious Doctrines of marriage. But it also allowed The Federal Government to bring Federal Criminal Charges, and impose Criminal Penalties upon anyone of any other Religious Doctrine whose doctrine of marriage was inconsistent with Christian Doctrine.”
Look at it this way. Here are American Indians living peacefully with their families and homes. All of a sudden, settlers come in from Europe, and not only dictate what they should do with their families, but haul them off to jail because they will not willingly BREAK UP THEIR FAMILIES!

Or look at the missionaries coming to Africa. “Can I be a Christian,” say the locals. No, you must first abandon your wives until you have only one wife remaining (let what will become of the others). Then you can embrace the faith.
Stupid. What nonsense.
Those ‘Christians’ did not read their own Bibles properly, did they not realise that King David, King Solomon and all the great men, including Jacob and Abraham ALL HAD MORE THAN ONE WIFE?

Polygamy Solves Sex Slave Crimes
There would be no sex slaves if men could legitimately fulfil their desires for sexual variety.
The sex slave crisis gets worse and worse: Nepal, Argentina, Albania, Italy. If there was no demand for these women, the sex slave crimes would immediately stop:
In an earlier post, we watched the video that openly admitted that men naturally desire sexual variety. IT IS A FACT.
Wouldn’t it be better to force the men to MARRY all these women they sleep with, and thus those men would get the sexual pleasure they want, and those girls would be safeguarded? Surely life in a polygamous home is better than being threatened with death or torture by their pimps, and the women would be able to have children as well. It would even reduce the spread of Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
Who are the bad people, the clients or the pimps, OR the WIVES of those clients, who stop their husbands from taking care of these young girls in polygamy? (so the men are going to do it anyway, secretly and the girls suffer at the hands of pimps).
Monogamy is the number one cause of prostitution, and the more dominant and less satisfying the wives of these western men become, the more these innocent girls suffer.
Feminists ought to think about their actions in depriving men of the opportunity to have decent relationships with younger women, and they should allow their men to bring home another wife. Perhaps you feminists are to blame for this. Maybe you are hurting more women in the process of your banning polygamy.
Where does the money come from that drives the sex slave market? FROM WESTERN TOURIST MEN OF COURSE, FROM COUNTRIES WHERE POLYGAMY IS BANNED!
To solve this crises, perhaps we should start there.

South African President has 3 Wives

South African President Zuma has been at the receiving end of a lot of criticism about his family life, some from even the opposition parties.
He seems happy enough with this arrangement though, and all his wives are matured ladies with the ability to make their own decisions. South Africa is one of the highest ranking countries in terms of Human Rights, I doubt any of these ladies were forced into this union. I think that they are all capable of walking out should things turn sour. One of his wives, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma did just that.
Polygamy is allowed in South Africa, mainly because most of its cultures and traditions have been practicing it for eons and are still are. It won’t be easy for any government to change that because its part of who we are as a Nation.
Polygamy is outlawed in the “white” world due to a feminist, democratic and westernized point of view. I won’t necessarily say that the westerners have a more superior morality, or that the Africans are dumb for chosing polygamy.
In some African practices, when a man dies, his brother will inherit his wife and children. Therefore, if the brother was already married he immediately find himself in a polygamous marriage with 2 wives and a handful of extra children. Surprisingly or not, this practice is FOUND IN THE BIBLE.
People talk of Imperialistic christendom which outlawed polygamy. It is definitely imperialistic, but not Christian.

The Masaai: The work would be very hard for just one wife…
“You would have to look after the cows, goats, water and firewood, all on your own!”
What is different in today’s society? There is still work to be done, although not cows, goats, water and firewood, or even housework…
In today’s society women play an important role in PAYING BILLS! Western society gets it’s sustenance from jobs or distribution of products. So the Western equivalent of the Masaai world is to work in ways to bring the money in.
So on her own, for the western woman, it would still be VERY hard, and today we see that it is VERY hard indeed for just one career woman. Even though we have our water supply, and our food, all these things still have to be secured by work, albeit in a more sophisticated way. Let us learn the practical sense of the Masaai in polygamy.
The western view is of course “Do you ever get jealous of the other wives?” No, we are friends. “Do you ever argue with them” No, we are all the same age, we tell stories and we have fun.

Polygamy: “Danger” To Bad Men
Kenya’s Ancentus Akuku aka. ‘Danger’ Married 130 wives and still going strong. ‘Danger’ is from the Luo tribe in Kenya which practices polygamy.
“I’m called Danger because I defeated so many men,” Akuku says. “I was very handsome and so I could get many wives.” “When I passed, people would point at me and call me Danger.”
He has outlived his first wife and many of his children. At 90, the grand old man justifies his long life to a diet of traditional foodstuffs such as dek, osuga, mitoo, apoth (traditional vegetables) and fermented milk that have kept him going. And of course… his many wives.
By the time he was 22, Akuku was already a polygamist. “Little did I know that I would marry many more women later,” he says. He then became an expert at managing a polygamous family.
He has led a very ’successful and productive’ polygamous family. He sired 110 sons and 305 daughters. Of the children 150 are married and also blessed with their own children. He says 35 of his sons have died. Despite his age, Akuku still knows each of his children by name. And which child belongs to which mother.
Despite his having a large family, many people today see him as a role model and are learning from him how to keep stable marriages. He has so many wives and children they need a new building to be able to worship together. The family has built a church for itself.

Success of Polygamy: Man of 84 years can claim 25-year-old woman
The saga of Pa Bello and his 86 spouses (not to mention at least 170 children) has gripped Africa’s most populous nation (Nigeria). Newspapers have dissected the unusual marital arrangements in minute detail, recounting how the family needs two giant sacks of rice and two of beans just to provide lunch, and speculating at length on how Mr Bello copes with the nagging (not to mention where he gets his energy from).
“Seeing the calibre of wives Papa has lined up like a congregation, one will wonder how he was able to get those women and how he satisfies their conjugal needs in spite of his age,”
“Since he married those women, none of them or his children have ever gone out to beg for food or money.” The Nigerian’s most recent wedding was in February this year, when he wed Hajia Monsura, 30. And despite the crowded marital bed, harmony apparently reigns. “God is really using him to assist people in wonderful ways, things unheard of,” said Hajiya Raliat, one of the 86 wives. “We live like sisters, we love ourselves and you can never find us fighting because all we care about is our husband and since he satisfies us all … we don’t fight.” Mr Bello has bragged of his ability to attract women of all ages – his oldest wife is 70, the youngest is 25. “I can get any woman I want, no matter where she comes from and what she does for a living,” he told the Vanguard.

If Moses did not Condemn Polygamy, why do Christians?
If Moses, David and the Prophets did not condemn Polygamy, then what right do Christians have to condemn polygamy?
Strange to tell, these Old Testament folk all lived in ‘ignorance’ until they learned the proper way, according to the theology of this type of Christian who condemns polygamy.
This ‘ignorance’ theology all came out of the presumtion that Adam and Eve are our role models in the way marriage should be, with one man and one woman.
The true theology however is confirmed by the Apostle Paul that ‘the woman was made for the man’ (1 Corinthians 11:9). If so, then what is to prevent the man from having more than one woman? The more the better, according to Paul’s reasoning.
If food is made for a man and is good for him, he should have more of it.
If we have to literally live and mimic Adam and Eve, then we would all be vegetarians, walking about nude, and childless like Adam and Eve were at the beginning.
Ok, maybe I am exaggerating a bit. However, I found that the arguments of Christians who condemn polygamy on biblical grounds simply do not hold water. Some of the arguments I have heard are pointless, and are just made to argue.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Plural_Marriage
This statement of Paul also shows why a woman cannot have more than one husband, because she is made for the MAN. She is not made for the MEN. Or the man is not made for her. She is made for him. This statement of Paul being true, common sense tells us that the more of women that the man has (and keeps!), the better off he is, and the more righteous in the eyes of God.
In addition to Polygamy, many Christans totally ignore the instructions of Paul about women not teaching in church, or praying in the same way as men. This teaching, together with polygamy, is totally ignored – but that will be reserved for another day.
ANOTHER hard-hitting post on this topic begins this way:
“My father was married to one woman for much of his adult life. That woman was my mother. But Dad’s brother had 7 wives, and Uncle Johnson also managed to be the Town Chief as well as the richest man in our village. Uncle’s was a family of means, the economic powerhouse of our village. Other than Western missionaries coming in and saying how evil polygamy was, not one day did I notice Uncle Johnson’s household being dysfunctional due to his many wives and his large family.
“I’m glad that at age 10, I learned English, and was able to attend school to learn how to read the white man’s spiritual manual, the Holy Bible. I’ve read the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation, from cover to cover many times. Nowhere does the Bible ever hint that it is sinful for a man to marry more than one wife, as the missionaries insisted Uncle Johnson do, if he was serious about following Jesus Christ. Apart from imposing a Western version of Christian family values on the Scriptures and on African believers, we cannot find one direct word against polygamy in the Holy Book. On the contrary, we can find much in the Bible that supports the case for polygamy.
“Yes, I’ve heard this one: God created one man, Adam, and one woman, Eve. That means He wanted one male to marry one female. Period. O yeah? Adam and Eve didn’t eat meat either. Does that mean it is sinful to be anything but vegetarian? Of course not. But God later approved a meat diet for humans. Similarly, in the beginning, Adam and Eve didn’t wear clothes either. Does that mean nudity or public nakedness is the godly thing to do? Just because God began the human race with monogamy, one man married to one woman, is no reason to construct a doctrine that declares polygamy a sinful sexual conduct.
“First off, without polygamy, there would have been no such thing as the nation of Israel. That’s right. Check the biblical record with a mind free of Western Christian bias, and you’ll find this to be true. The nation of Israel came out of the 12 tribes of Israel. Right? And where did the 12 tribes come from? From the the 12 sons of Jacob! And what type of marriage
produced those 12 sons? Polygamy! Jacob was a polygamist. And God never said Jacob sinned by marrying those 4 women. Fact is, if Jacob had been a monogamist, he would have married Rachel alone. Do you know how many children Rachel had? Just two: Joseph and Benjamin. The other 10 sons came from Jacob’s other three wives. Not only that, but Judah, the son from whose lineage Jesus Christ came, was birthed by Jacob’s first wife, Leah. Without the birth of Judah, no Jesus Christ! Think hard before you slam polygamy. It helped produce Israel, which produced the tribe of Judah, which produced the Savior.
“Of course, Western theologians and their descendants can argue all day long from silence that if Jacob had married only one wife, God would have worked out something else to bring Messiah into the world. Fine. But why tie knots about what could have been, or what didn’t happen? Why not deal with what actually happened? And what happened is that the chosen nation, and the Savior, can be traced to a polygamous home. Namely, the family of Jacob, the polygamist.”
